Directors Bay is located on the far east side of Curaçao, close to Jan Thiel. It is one of the only beautiful bays you can reach on that side of the island. The water here is incredibly clear and blue, and instead of sand, the beach is made up of small pebbles, which gives it a unique look.
You can take photos from the top of the cliffs with a stunning view over the bay, or down on the beach itself. A mix of both is also a great idea if you want different backgrounds and a bit more variety in your shoot.
There are also some rocks that look amazing from above, which makes this a great spot for drone photos. If you want something extra special, I highly recommend adding drone shots to your package for a more creative and unique result.
One thing to keep in mind is that this beach is known for occasional theft, so do not bring valuables and never leave anything in the car. What you should bring is your snorkel gear. After your photoshoot, this is the perfect place to cool off and explore the underwater world. The snorkeling here is beautiful and peaceful.

How busy is it? This is a fairly quiet beach. Especially in the morning, there’s almost no one here.
Accessibility and Parking: If you’re staying in Jan Thiel, you won’t notice it. But if not, keep in mind that the Caracasbaaiweg is usually very busy and there’s often traffic. You can park right next to the beach. To get down to the beach, you’ll need to walk down a small staircase.
