Marichi is a small beach right in the heart of Willemstad. It might not look perfect at first because there’s some construction going on behind the beach, but don’t worry — that doesn’t show up in the photos at all. Once you’re on the beach, you’ll see why it’s one of my favorite photoshoot spots in Curaçao.
The sand is soft and white, the water is a beautiful clear blue, and it’s usually very quiet. That makes it a great choice if you prefer a more private and relaxed shoot. One of the highlights here is the large pier, which adds a fun and unique touch to your photos.
Marichi is also an amazing location for drone photography. The pier, the sea, and the peaceful surroundings look incredible from above. If you’re thinking of adding drone shots to your package, this is definitely a spot to consider.

How busy is it? At 9 AM it’s very quiet. In the afternoon it can be a bit busier, but still fairly calm.
Accessibility and Parking: There is parking available at Wilhelmina Plein or along the street heading toward Pietermaai. There’s also a parking garage nearby (Pietermaai Parking). From any of these spots, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the beach. Please note: parking is paid (1 xcg per hour).
